As Your A therapist, I Can Help You Feel Better

I'm a therapist who is uniquely qualified to help moms. After working with new moms for over a decade, I know how essential community is. Since beginning my work in maternal mental health I’ve had additional training in attachment which has helped me understand the link between how you were raised and how you end up parenting your own children. I know how hard it can be to juggle all of life asks of you and feel like it’s just too much for one person to handle. Think of MotherTribe as a community where you will receive the both support and honest dialogue about the challenges your facing (we laugh a lot too). You’re invited to bring your unique struggles and be met right where you are.

 Having my son opened my eyes to the trials and unique isolation of motherhood.  From the first moment he was born I loved and adored him, but that love did not make him sleep through the night. Though he was growing and we had a strong bond, I always felt I could be doing more.  I wanted to give him not only the good things that I received from my own family, but all the things I, as an extraordinarily sensitive child, lacked in my growing up.  Like lots of moms I tried to heal myself by parenting too hard.  After the fog of sleep deprivation wore off (sort of), I crossed paths with another therapist and we began talking about how moms could have a different experience. It was then that  MotherTribe, a therapy group for moms, was born.  MotherTribe is for all moms, not just moms with postpartum anxiety, depression, or OCD, but moms who need support because honestly we all need a community where we feel safe enough to talk about what is really happening in our lives.
